"Wonderful...full of skilful guidance...a lifeline..." -- Prof Mark Williams

Kate Carne discovered meditation in 1975. Rather by accident, she found that it lifted her out of depression. She trained for many years with Zen Master Hogen Daido Yamahata, both in the UK and in Japan, and has also trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn. Having worked in complementary health for about 25 years, she deciding that the best way to lessen people's suffering is to teach them how to practise mindfulness. She has an MA in Mindfulness Training, and has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in Oxford since 2004. Until recently, she also worked for the Prison Phoenix Trust, teaching yoga and meditation in prisons all over the UK.
