Product Information

Seth Friedman is an internationally known origami artist from Brooklyn, New York. He has shown his original origami sculptures, and presented on the topic of origami in the United States, Canada, France and Japan. Best known for his sculptures of birds, he also makes every living creature of interest the subject of his folding. Marc Kirschenbaum, a leading American origami artist, is known for his wide range of subject matter and for utilizing a variety of folding mediums--even toilet paper. His works have been shown in many museums and shows around the world, including the American Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian Institution, Mingei International Museum, and Hangar-7. Several of his works have been published in books and periodicals. He lives in Manhattan. Jason Ku has been folding since the age of five. He began designing original models in high school. In 2005, Ku was invited as a Yoshino Fund special guest to teach and exhibit at the Origami Tanteidan convention (the annual meeting of the Japanese Origami Academic Society) in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, he has received two degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT while acting as the president of MIT's origami club, OrigMIT. He lives in Boston, MA. Daniel Robinson is an industrial designer in New Jersey. He has been doing origami for over 25 years. His work has been published and displayed in museums all over the world. Robinson believes that the product of origami is secondary to the process; it is the transformation of a simple sheet of paper into something evocative and stimulating that conveys the real magic of origami.
